We are now looking for a positive and enthusiastic Guest Service Assistant to join Page8 Hotel, St. Martins Place, London.

Set in a prime location, right next to Trafalgar Square, Page8 is a design-led 138 room hotel inclusive of Page Common, part-bar and part coffeehouse. **Position Purpose**

As Guest Service Assistant, your main area of responsibility will be to deliver fantastic experiences for our guests, at arrival and during their stay.

Guest Service Assistant typically works 8 hour shifts in 5 day work.

**Key Responsibilities**

Meet, greet and direct guests in the lobby area

Be the main point of contact for all in-house and external guests

Aid and assist guests throughout their stay in a friendly and professional manner

Complete daily guest services duties, including checking in, checking out, balancing revenue and ensuring guest information is kept up to date and is recorded

Operate the hotel switchboard and deal with all internal and external calls

Work closely with the housekeeping department in coordinating guest requests, assisting with lighter cleaning tasks and ensuring a sparkling and safe hotel

Work closely with PageCommon in coordinating guest orders, assisting with serving food and drink items and promoting a warm and friendly atmosphere in the lobby

Support PageCommon in maintaining the lobby area neat and tidy at all times, and assist as needed with set up of terrace

Manage, record and resolve promptly any customer issues

Take reservations in the absence of the Reservations team

Promote the hotel, food and drink outlets, and the hotel services at all times, suggesting upselling and additional services where appropriate

Maintain good communication and work relationships in all hotel areas

Assist with other departments, as necessary

**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**

A professional appearance and manner

Good command of spoken English

A desire to provide exceptional customer service

Ability to speak additional languages is highly desirable, notably Cantonese or Mandarin

Flexibility to work a variety of shift patterns

**Proven Experience/Education Level**

Previous experience working in Front Office, preferably within a hotel
