We are seeking a dedicated and skilled, full time permanent heavy goods vehicle (HGV) Mechanic to join our small but dynamic team based at Brampton in Cumbria. If yo have a passion for vehicle maintenance and a commitment to excellence, we want to hear from you.

We operate a fleet of Daf trucks and also carry out third party maintenance work. A Class 1 C+E licence would be an advantage, but not essential.

**HGV Mechanic Responsibilities**:

- Carrying out routine inspections maintenance and repairs on all makes of vehicles & trailers to VOSA standard
- Diagnosing and rectifying all types of HGV faults
- Conduct trailer repairs
- Ensuring adherence to health & safety regulations and safe working practices.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness in the workshop.
- Provide routine maintenance for third party commercial vehicles.
- Conduct cosmetic repairs, including some painting and welding as needed.
- Mentor apprentice and provide on the job training

**Qualifications and Skills**:
Previous experience as an HGV Mechanic

Ability to diagnose and fix a wide range of mechanical issues.

Knowledge of health & safety regulations.

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

A Class 1 C+E Licence is an advantage but not essential.

**Working Hours**:
This is a permanent, full-time position with a good earning potential.

40 hours per week plus overtime

Mon-Fri on a rotating shift pattern starting between 6am and 8am

Some Saturdays : 6am-12pm
