Senior Delivery Lead

**Base Location**: Havant, Reading and Perth

**Salary**: £66,100 - £99,100 + performance-related bonus, car allowance and a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Energy Markets (EM) is the commercial heart of the SSE Group, securing value for SSE's asset portfolios in wholesale energy markets as we move towards our vision of being a leading energy company in a net zero world. EM plays a critical role as the asset optimiser, route to market and risk management function for all SSE's Business Units (Wind, Hydro, Low Carbon Thermal, Distributed Energy and Customer portfolios). EM enables SSE to focus its expertise and capabilities in energy markets (including Trading, Risk Management, Energy Economics and Advanced Analytics) in one centre of excellence and, with these enhanced capabilities, support value creation and decision-making across the SSE Group.

**The Role**

The main purpose of the **Senior** Delivery Lead role is to lead end-to-end delivery of the full product lifecycle and product roadmaps for EM Value streams via their product DevOps teams through use of best practice agile methodologies, ensuring effective control over costs and resourcing enabling the delivery of business outcomes. You will also provide line management and development to members of the department.

**You Will**
- Lead end-to-end delivery of products and projects within Agile governance frameworks, managing risks, dependencies, and stakeholder engagement to ensure timely, cost-effective outcomes without technical debt.
- Oversee financial planning and control, maintaining accurate budget forecasts and ensuring delivery remains within fiscal constraints.
- Drive operational resilience and security, ensuring systems and services are robust, secure, and aligned with cyber protection standards and incident reporting protocols.
- Foster high-performing teams, promoting collaboration, effective use of Agile methodologies and ceremonies, and managing third-party relationships to align with organizational values and delivery goals.

**You Have**
- Proven track record in leading and delivering complex IT/OT projects, ensuring alignment with business value and operational outcomes.
- Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) and experience embedding governance, process, and culture across portfolio levels.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budget planning and securing funding to meet product and operational requirements.
- Excellent stakeholder and communication skills, with the ability to influence priorities and navigate complex environments; experience in energy or financial trading is a plus.
