RESPIRATORY VIRTUAL WARD PRACTIONER BAND 7
FULL TIME/PART TIME/JOB SHARE
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Division of Unplanned Care for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join the Virtual Ward service, which is imminently due to launch. This important post will work alongside a team of Consultant Physicians and Physiotherapists in Respiratory Medicine in the provision of the Virtual Ward working across both the community and hospital. You will spend your time providing specialist treatments and advice in order to optimise respiratory patients identified as safe to discharge to the virtual wards from the ED and inpatient hospital bed cohort. This will reduce length of stay and optimise patient experience by enabling them to receive safe clinical specialist care in the comfort of their own home.
If you are a dynamic individual with experience in Respiratory physiotherapy or nursing, keen to take on a new challenge and develop this innovative and unique role we would love to hear from you.
You must have at least 5 years post-graduate experience with relevant clinical practice in Acute and Chronic Respiratory Medicine at a senior level. Your role will include supervising and supporting junior members of staff and working closely with your medical and nursing colleagues to ensure a seamless service for patients across both the acute hospital and community respiratory teams.
You will be comprehensively supported and supervised through individual performance review and CPD and be given plenty of opportunities to consolidate and develop your skills.
