Our client, a market leader and award-winning engineering manufacturer has an opportunity for an Export Assistant to become part of their team. With a client base that spans the globe, this exciting company supplies its products to a portfolio of well-known names in its sector.

The Export Assistant will ensure the smooth delivery of parts and machines.

**Responsibilities**:
Obtain quotes for transport and obtain quotes for imports overseas

Process invoices and produce courier documentation

Arrange bookings with freight forwarders

Liaise with suppliers, keep records of declarations, and ensure inventory parts are updated

Provide customers with despatch details, keeping them up to date with status reports

Maintain certificates of shipments, keeping on top of custom export entries

Maintain reports of current shipments in transit to assist customers where possible

Compare courier/forwarder prices for the most competitive rates

Maintain and update tracker to compare costs to sales value

Skills and Experience

Experience in a similar role involving shipping / logistics

Excellent organisational skills

Able to work under pressure

Highly accurate and strong attention to detail

Self starter and driven

Excellent communication skills

Microsoft Office experience
