**Assistant Buyer/Purchasing Administrator**
**Location**: The Maltings, Ingatestone, Essex CM4 0LQ
**Part-Time**:20 hours pw
**Days of work**:4 consecutive days within Mon-Fri
**Hours**:Start time options: 8.30 / 9.15 /12.30
**Holiday**:28 days pro rata including bank holidays per annum
**Salary**: £14,500 pa

We are currently recruiting an Assistant Buyer/Purchasing Administrator - FM, for an established business supporting Catering Industry clients & based in our CM4 offices near Chipping Ongar, Essex.

**The role**
The role will include the proactive management of FM contractors - controlling service levels & inflation, additionally supporting the Head of Procurement in the growth of this anchor department. The purchasing team support multiple clients across 30 sites within the hospitality industry from fine dining restaurants though to Event & Venue Caterers.
**The Person**
- Working towards CIPS or IWFM associate level
- Confident & articulate, able to build positive relationships at all levels
- Good attention to detail & focus on quality of work produced
- Strong commercial acumen and savvy; comfortable with numbers & analytics
- Positive Approach - A glass half full person, with the right balance of common sense, empathy, & business acumen
**Experience**
- Previous experience of working in a Procurement team, ideally within a FM or Hospitality environment
**Skills & Experiences**
- Strong communication skills, both written & verbal
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, P2P platforms
- Strong administration & organization skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines, juggling many tasks simultaneously in a busy environment.
- Full UK Driving Licence
**Desirable but not essential**
- Minimum 1 years’ experience within a commercial purchasing team, preferably in a similar position
**Duties and Tasks**
- This role has ownership & management of service contracts (Intruder Alarms, Waste), statutory testing (PAT, EICR, Lift Inspection) & Pest Control
- Ensure that all delays & cancellations are communicated to the client & Head of Procurement
- Manage Purchase & Invoice Price Variance reports (PPV) via the company’s P2P(EPSYS)
- Manage cost prices and negotiations with the supply base
- Keep the Head of Procurement informed regarding RFQ's and price movements
- Work closely with clients to manage daily workflow & accurately perform all tasks
- Ensuring that systems & records are maintained
- Supporting clients by, where required, quantifying & inputting orders
- Identify new trends & commercial opportunities within the hospitality sector
- Maintain good relationships with our suppliers
- Assist in training new team members
- Work across all areas of the business to resolve queries with other departments
- Monitor & order products & services at appropriate times using Crowns P2P ordering platform EPSYS (Foodbuy)
- Check & maintain data held on the P2P system
- Maintain knowledge on all open orders and their status & provide assistance expediting & feeding information back to relevant business unit stakeholders
- Support site mobilisation projects as required
