Manager, Custom Brokerage Operations, Eu Exports

Amazon is looking for a Manager, Program Management to join the Global Logistics Services (GLS) EU Export Operations team. GLS is dedicated to building, managing and operating a Global Logistics network that enables shipments from anywhere in the world anddelivers to customers anywhere in the world, cost effectively. The GLS EU Export Operations team is responsible for Carrier Management and Network Operations. This role is responsible for managing the Operations, Performance, Cost and capacity of a numberof EU Brokers/LSPs who manage Amazon shipments from the UK-EU and EU-UK lanes. This Role will lead a team of 4-5 Program Managers and will work with Custom Brokers/LSPs and Internal Amazon Stakeholders across multiple functions on a daily basis to ensure theCustomer Experience Goals are met.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead a team of 4-5 Program Managers and work to hire and develop a strong team.
- Manage the day-to-day performance (on time performance, defect rate, cost per unit) of multiple Custom Brokers/LSPs.
- Ensure Brokers/LSPs perform to the agreed operating standards and that volumes are allocated according to the commercial agreement.
- Lead Weekly Business Reviews (WBRs) with LSPs to address day-to-day performance issues and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR’s), involving senior management from AGL and LSP organisations, to discuss strategic initiatives
- Identify at-risk operations and develop contingency plans to minimize service failures.
- Work closely with the internal stakeholders to troubleshoot defects and optimise processes.
- Work closely with LSPs to develop plans for Peak periods and provide on-site support.
- Support the operational component for new LSP onboarding and product launches that add value for customers and/or Amazon
- Own the strategic yearly and 3 yearly planning processes for Brokerage Operations
- Travel within the EU will be required on need basis.
- The Program Manager will engage with the following GLS teams in order to manage the LSPs effectively: Finance, Procurement, SCDD, BI and Product
- The Program Manager will interact with the following stakeholders at all levels: Amazon Air, FC / SC Operations, Relay Operations Centre (ROC), Business teams (Retail, Global Store, FBA, and Expansion), Tech, Loss Prevention, Amazon Transportation Services(ATS), Global Trade Services (GTS), Customer Service (CS), Delivery Experience (DEX), Tax and Legal.
About the team
The role is part of Global Mile's EU Exports and Brokerage Team. Global Mile is responsibile for fulfillment operations from EU and NA into 200+ Countries predominantly where Amazon Marketplace doesnt exist. We also lead Brokerage Ops post Brexit which is anerve center for EU network.

**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**
- Completed MBA from Tier 1 B School.
- Prior experience in Operations/Transportation/Logistics/Manufacturing/Consulting
- Have been a People Manager
- Internal Amazon Experience +4 yrs in FC/ATS/AMZL/Trans Operations
- Proven experience and track record of delivering high quality results in the fields of logistics and supplier management
- Strong analytical/quantitative skills and ambition to develop these further with proficient data analysis and reporting skills. (MS Excel, SQL)
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to deal with ambiguities, conflicting priorities and multi-cultural environment.
- Have Strong Learn and Curious Attitude
- Ability to Raise the bar and Insisting on High Standards on behalf of Customers.

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Fluency in other EU languages (German, Italian, Spanish or French ideally)
