We are really pleased to be offering an opportunity within our Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) Team for a Business Support Officer to excel in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift frequently to cater to the needs of our stakeholders.
As a Business Support in this team, you will have a strong administrative background and excellent working knowledge of MS Office.
Crucial qualities include precision and adaptability, along with exceptional communication skills. Your ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues and partner agencies is essential, as it enables you to engage with professionals and families while working alongside the SEND officers, local schools, and early years settings. This collaborative aspect of the role may present challenges at times, but it's an essential part of making a meaningful impact.
Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of business support and customer service functions. These include updating and maintaining spreadsheets, minute taking, answering telephones, typing, scanning and filing, as well as maintaining accuracy of data held in the Council’s SEND database for statutory assessments.
We currently have two positions to be filled, one of which will be working within the finance area of the business support team for which we will be looking for someone with a good level of numeracy and excel experience and the other focussing on more administrative activity.
