We're working on behalf of a lovely special school that are looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to support in a KS1 class of students with a range of special needs & disabilities. Mostly the needs of the students are physical disabilities so experience in this area is essential.

This school are going from strength to strength as they look to expand and there has never been a more exciting time to join them as now The school is a fast paced environment that so all staff members are required to be flexible, proactive and patient. 

The role

The role of TA is mostly providing general classroom support along with the other 2 TA's in the class, proactively seeking out opportunities to help students in the class. This role is for a September start and you must be able to  commit to full-time, due to the students requiring consistency with staff.

Due to the needs of the students, ideally you would have worked in a special school before but they are open to applicants that come from more of a mainstream background. Also because of the needs of the students they are open to applications from support workers with aspirations of having a career within education.
