**About the Opportunity**

Jacobs is currently recruiting for a Bid Administrator to join our Radioactive Waste Management and Disposal business. You will work closely with our Project Managers and Technical Leads to deliver a range of proposals on behalf of customers such as NDA, UKAEA, RWM Ltd, LLWR Ltd, Magnox Ltd, Sellafield Ltd, as well as a number of other international waste management organisations.
You will be involved in the co-ordination and administration of bids as well as contributing to aspects of the bids for a diverse range of consultancy projects undertaken for our customers in the UK and overseas. You will join a project and bid management team and will also have the opportunity to support the project management of consultancy projects. You will be responsible for the efficient administration and facilitation of bids, bid reviews and associated bid documentation. You will also work closely with bid managers, technical leads and operational managers within the business to ensure that bid responses are produced to the highest quality and are approved in accordance with company governance arrangements and submitted against agreed timelines.

**Key Responsibilities include**:
You will work on a range of bids for consultancy projects for customers in the UK and overseas. This will involve a wide variety of activities, including:

- Bid administration on individual opportunities and working with our Bid Managers to respond to expressions of interest and invitations to tenders.
- Working as part of a team to support the bid preparation for a diverse range of projects.
- Recording and tracking opportunities on Jacobs Customer Relationship Management system.
- Acknowledging and expressing interest in tenders.
- Producing fit-for-purpose documentation such as prequalification documents, expressions of interest and proposal documentation - based on existing material or from others participating in the bid process (the bid team).
- Ensuring that appropriate company processes are followed (appropriate training would be provided).
- Supporting the management of a portfolio of bids.
- Production of marketing material.
- Producing diagrams and Gantt charts in support of bids and projects.
- Supporting the production of cost estimates.

- Self-starter individual with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, administrative, organisational and writing skills.
- Able to work in multi-disciplinary teams.
- Proficiency and expertise in using the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
- Ability to develop an in-depth understanding of the requirements of a consulting organization.
- Flexible, innovative and keen to develop skills.
- Adaptable and able to work on a variety of tasks, prioritising as appropriate.
- Will need to be able to obtain appropriate security clearance.

**Desirable**:

- Experience in producing diagrams and Gantt using MS Project and Visio.
- Proposal writing.
- Experience in winning business / bids and tendering.
