**Role**:
Working within the Property and Facilities team this role is to join and support the current team in the maintenance of a large rural estate and educational buildings. To expand the Maintenance team whilst ensuring we get the right skill set to add value to the current team.

Having produced a programme of decoration for the estate that is required to cement West Deans position as a leading college for arts and conservation it is imperative, we do not let the Estates decorated assets fall into disrepair.

Work will include multi-skill elements including basic plumbing, joinery and building repairs as well as core decorating tasks.

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Be committed to improving and maintaining the visual look and feel of the college and its surrounding buildings.
- To provide high quality decorating standards completed within acceptable timescales.
- Be able to interpret and follow the campus wide cyclical programme.
- Be proactive in identifying areas that need to be prioritised within that year’s programme.
- Have good communication skills and work well as part of a team.
- Always maintain a strong customer focus.
- To be part of a close-knit team focused on keeping the Estates buildings maintained to a high level.
- To liaise with contractors attending site to undertake specialist services and assist them in completing the tasks.

**Requirements**:
The role will also provide opportunities to work with other members of the team at both sites, contributing to maintenance projects. The role will suit someone interested in working in a small team and who has experience in working on listed building and in educational establishments.
- You must be a fully qualified C&G or NVQ level decorator.
- General Maintenance Experience.
- You must have experience in working within an educational or hospitality environment.
- You must have a valid UK driving licence.

Please note: This role also includes a call out rota of 1 in approximately every 4 weeks covering evenings and weekends.

**Salary**: £26,759.73 per year
