Working as a member of the outpatient team, you will assist in the efficient running of the ophthalmology service, coordinating the patient’s journey from pre-admission to discharge. You will organise and undertake per-operative assessment, including specialisedbiometry and ophthalmic measurements, ensuring that patients are fit for surgery. You will also participate in the ongoing development of the ophthalmology service.
As an NMC registered Nurse, you will have extensive experience in acute care or elective surgical nursing, with recent experience in ophthalmology and pre-assessment, in addition to physical examination training and skills. You will also have ECG and venepuncturetraining, knowledge of ophthalmic disease and up to date clinical skills.
