**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Experience in Preparing English and Continental Breakfast
- Ensure counters and restaurant is set to the correct standard ready for breakfast, lunch and supper service. Liaise and communicate with Assistant Chef Manager as to what food you require throughout service
- To serve customers in a polite and friendly manner
- To help prepare and cook enough food and to provide a wide choice for customers. Ensure that menus are adhered to and that wastage is kept to a minimum
- Help prepare breakfast, lunch and supper service ensuring all items on the menu are available and ready for service. To check food for taste, appearance and quality before serving.
- To cook food to order as required
- To help serve customers both on counter and till, ensuring at all times that the food is served attractively and garnished
- To be polite and friendly to customers at all times and to deal with customer requests as and when - To help with the day-to-day shopping, ensuring all supplies are checked correctly and put away in the right place - Ensuring all foods are labelled anddated
- To help with the completion of paperwork to record the amount of wastage and temperature records
- To actively take part in weekly / monthly stocktaking
- To report any accidents or near misses to the Health & Safety Officer
- To report breakages or faults with machinery or equipment to the Facilities Manager
- To help and assist in any cleaning duties required Health & Safety Responsibilities

- This includes reporting all accidents and near misses to management.
- Reporting any potential issues which could cause harm.
- Behave in a manner, which acts in line with the standards set out in the Health and Safety Manual and Company Handbook.

- NVQ Level 1 - 3 in Professional Cookery
- Professional Chef Diploma
- Management diploma in catering
- Hygiene certificate in catering
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent management skills
