ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Breakfast Chef at Lina Stores, you will be responsible for preparing and executing a range of authentic Italian-inspired breakfast dishes, including fresh focaccia, pancakes, scrambled eggs, and other classic morning plates — all crafted with high-quality ingredients and attention to detail.

You will also support the kitchen during lunch service, assisting the team with antipasti and starters preparation to ensure a smooth and efficient transition between services.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and cooking high-quality Italian breakfast dishes to order with consistency and care.
  • Baking and preparing focaccia and other fresh breakfast items.
  • Managing mise en place and service preparation for the breakfast and lunch starters sections.
  • Assisting with plating antipasti, salads, and other starters during lunch service.
  • Maintaining exceptional standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety at all times.
  • Coordinating with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth service and timely delivery.
  • Supporting stock rotation and ingredient preparation to minimise waste and ensure freshness.

YOU ARE:

  • Experienced in a breakfast or brunch kitchen – You have previous experience preparing high-quality breakfast dishes in a busy environment.
  • Passionate about Italian cuisine – You love showcasing authentic flavours and seasonal ingredients.
  • Detail-oriented – You understand the importance of presentation, consistency, and timing.
  • A team player – You thrive in a collaborative kitchen and support your team during peak service.
  • Organised and efficient – You can handle multiple orders while maintaining high standards.
