We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Data to join our Health Service Team. The post holder is responsible for driving the overall data strategy, operations, and execution to enhance business insights and decision-making for Health Services. This role provides leadership, direction, and strategic planning for multiple functions, including Data Office, Data Governance, Data Science & AI, and Business Intelligence, Reporting, and Analytics. The Head of Data acts as a strategic partner to the Chief Data and Analytics Office (CDAO), offering insights and recommendations to set direction and ensure alignment across all data-related functions.

This role prioritises data quality and integrity, supporting the overall data strategy and achieving business objectives through effective leadership and strategic planning.

**How you'll help us make health happen**:

- You will provide leadership, direction, and strategic planning for multiple functions, including Data Office, Data Governance, Data Science & AI, and Business Intelligence, Reporting, and Analytics.
- You will serve as a linchpin between data teams and other business units, ensuring strong business performance.
- Overseeing the data team, including data scientists, analysts, engineers, and data modellers, to drive data initiatives forward.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security by implementing robust data governance frameworks.
- You will develop and enforce data policies and standards across the business unit.
- You will deliver key data projects, including AI use cases and business intelligence initiatives, providing valuable insights and metrics to stakeholders.
- You will support the CDAO in driving data strategy, collaborating with heads of various departments.
- You will own the relationship between data initiatives and financial planning to ensure alignment and drive performance through data.
- You will ensure all data activities prioritise data quality and integrity, supporting the overall data strategy and achieving business objectives.

**What you'll bring**
- Proven experience in a senior management role.
- Strong leadership and strategic planning skills to drive data initiatives and align with business objectives.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management abilities to ensure alignment and integration of data strategies.
- Proven expertise in data and business process optimisation.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to address complex data challenges and derive actionable insights.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey data insights and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Ability to drive innovation and manage change effectively within the data team and across the organisation.
