**Job Title**: Head of Data

**Location**: Belfast

**Salary**: Negotiable, depends on experience

**Work Pattern**: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm

**Key responsibilities**
- Work effectively, professionally, and collaboratively with other members of the Selazar business.
- Be passionate about web and cloud technologies and possess an active desire to learn and grow as a self-starter.
- Be collaborative, engage in technical and operational discussions relevant to your work and be open to new and challenging ideas.
- Help create and then manage a data department day to day.
- Implement and manage a data disaster recovery plan.
- Manage data centric developers and development services which support the business internally and externally.
- Maintain multiple internal and external data instances ensuring good data hygiene and best practice for indexing and other areas of data platforms.
- Work with global teams to manage the data requirements across territories and scale data solutions for a global reach.
- Architect data solutions for internal and external business opportunities.
- Report to the business on progress and management of the department.

**About You**

**Knowledge and Abilities**
- Proven experience in leading a data or data centric development team.
- Experience of on premise and cloud-based data solutions.
- Experience of AWS and cloud networking.
- Experience of planning work using Agile methodology.
- Proven ability to communicate at all levels including business stakeholders and remote teams.
- Competent in SQL with a clear understanding of best practice of SQL code for efficient and robust queries.
- Ability to problem solve, plan and prioritise.
- Ability to think outside the box to solve business critical problems, with a strong ownership ethos.
- Experience of managing a team.
- Passionate about data and embracing new technologies.
