Parkside Residential Home is looking for a part-time Night Care Team Leader to join their team in Romford. This is a part-time role, working two nights per week.

Parkside Residential Home is a 32-bed residential care home that has been operating in the London Borough of Havering since 1971. The home is owned by Romford Baptist Housing Association Ltd, which is a not for profit organisation.

The home works in partnership with Romford Baptist Church to create a Christian ethos for the residents and staff, most of whom are Christians. It is essential that the Care Leader upholds this philosophy and helps maintain a loving Christian environment.A DBS check is required for this position.

**About the Night Care Team Leader role**:
As a Night Care Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and supporting your care team ensuring they are providing high quality of care and service to all residents at all times, ensuring dignity and individual personalities are respected.

You should be prepared to embrace and implement change while ensuring that current legislation and the company’s policies and procedures are adhered to. Duties will include:

- Monitoring standards of service and reporting to Care Manager
- Organising the duties of the night care team
- Ensure care is provided for the residents in line with their care plans and personal needs, giving medication as prescribed
- Ensuring the premises are clean and tidy
- Answer emergency bells, assess situation and summon the senior member of staff and/or medical aid if necessary
- Assist in the completion of care plans and medication orders
- Appraisal and supervision of Night Staff
- Recording and reporting any incidents

**About You**:

- Due to the nature of this role, you will have good interpersonal skills, helpful and caring.
- You will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a carer with the elderly, including dementia care
- NVQ level 3 and first aid qualifications
