**The Role**

You will be directly involved in the delivery of our currently-booked weddings, parties, funeral receptions and corporate events, as well as the organisation and delivery of future events.

Main duties will include:

- Working alongside our senior member of our weddings and events team to deliver an amazing service in our current and future events
- Organising and managing of all elements of an event in the build up and execution of weddings, function and events
- Dealing with face-to-face, telephone and online enquiries
- Liaising with the Head and Sous Chef with regards to the catering requirements of each function
- Liaising with current and potential clients to discuss and deliver their event requirements
- The planning and supervision of all elements of an event including: room layout, furniture, facilities, catering and staff
- The logging and administration of all relevant paperwork and computer documents

You may also be required to assist in other areas of the business at certain times, such as front of house.

**Who are we looking for?**

Our ideal Wedding, Function and Events assistant will have experience in bar, restaurant & hospitality customer service. Full training in our own procedures will be provided.

We are aiming to establish The Norfolk Arms as the primary Peak District events venue, and our new Weddings, Functions and Events assistant will be encouraged to provide input and ideas to help us achieve this.

**Hours of work**

This is a part-time or full-time vacancy and shift times will depend on the needs of the business. Please be aware that regular weekend work (often with long hours) will be required as this is when most of our events take place. During quieter times you will be expected to assist in other areas of the business (where required).

**What do we offer?**

**Salary**: £4.81-£9.50 per hour
