We are currently working with an outstanding primary school in the Knowsley area who are looking for a long-term, full-time Teaching Assistant to support a Year 5 child on the ASD pathway. The school in Knowsley is in a lovely environment, and the staffare very supportive and encourage a real community spirit within the school.

The child needs support in the classroom and it will be vital that you can liaise with the teacher and other members of staff to ensure a network of support is in place for the pupil. Some support during breaks and lunch may also be needed so flexibilityis key.

Excellent behaviour management, as well as a firm but positive attitude is a must for this role.

To be successful in this role you will need:

- Experience and/or knowledge of ASD
- A calm but firm attitude and a positive approach
- Experience supporting children from Key Stage 2 (preferred)
- Good communication skills

As the school is a Forest School there will be opportunities to encourage creative play outdoors.

This is a long term, full time role with an immediate start and a competitive daily rate.
