**Quality Control (QC) Technician** with strong interpersonal and communication skills, excellent time management and the ability to multitask is required for a well-established Global International Company based in Chinley, High Peak Derbyshire,East Midlands.

**SALARY**:Circa £26,000 per annum

**LOCATION**: Chinley, High Peak Derbyshire, East Midlands

**JOB TYPE**: Full-Time, Permanent

**WORKING HOURS**: 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 05:45-14:15 / 13:45-22:15 / 21:45-06:15 on a rotating shift pattern

**JOB OVERVIEW**

We are looking for a Quality Control (QC) Technician with strong interpersonal and communication skills, excellent time management and the ability to multitask.

Working as the Quality Control (QC) Technician you will be testing and inspecting materials produced, ensuring that they meet the recognised standards.

As the Quality Control (QC) Technician you will also carry out plant checks to ensure all raw materials are correct and correctly set up.

**DUTIES**

Your duties and responsibilities as the Quality Control (QC) Technicianwill include:

- Extrusion of samples using twin and single screw extruders - samples to be used for colour measurement and inspection of material finish
- Producing samples using lab injection-moulder for colour measurement and other specified tests
- Testing of flexible compounds using NMR, S.G., BSS
- Colour testing of samples using colourimeter, some colour correction on products may also be required
- Tensile testing
- Some incoming raw material testing
- Plant checks to ensure all raw materials are correct and correctly set up

**CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS**
- Experience in a similar Quality Control position would be preferred but is not essential
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Good time management skills
- Ability to multi-task
