**About this job**:
We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Head of Service**to join our Family Support & Safeguarding Service in our drive for excellence.

**We are**currently recruiting for a Head of Service for Family support and safeguarding to take the service through its next phase of improvement and transformation. Key priorities include stabalising the workforce with permanent staff, producing consistently good analytical assessments, reflective supervision ,SMART care planning, recognising and responding appropriately to neglect, and ensuring our children achieve timely permanence. We are also excited as we are about to embark on further shaping our services in line with the National social work reforms,

You will be warmly welcomed by a stable, highly dedicated, enthusiastic and visionary Leadership team in Children’s care and support who are working together with our business partners and wider partners to ensure we deliver on our ambition to improve the experiences of our most vulnerable children, young people and families.

**Special requirements for this post**:
You to be a qualified social work practitioner and hold a current SWE registration. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and a comprehensive screening process will be undertaken on successful applicants including an Enhanced Children’s Disclosure and Barring Services check.**

Extensive and proven experience in managing staff, improving performance and driving professional standards is key to success in this role. A demonstrated ability to calmly managing risk and lead on change.
