**Senior Controls Proposals Engineer - Leeds - Permanent - Oil & Gas**

One of our long-term Oil & Gas partners are looking for a Senior Controls Proposals Engineer, the Controls Tendering Team is responsible for compiling competitive Controls system tenders to support the future business growth of the company. The team offerstailored Controls product solutions to align with the customer's requirements, meeting client needs at the lowest cost.

As Senior Controls Proposals Engineer, you are responsible for delivering the Controls technical proposal and providing the necessary technical support to the cost, scheduling and risk functions. The Controls system tender deliverables must be provided ontime and to a high quality. This includes offering standardised solutions where the tender strategy allows and to consider alternative solutions which can offer lower cost, shorter delivery or reduce risk to our clients.

**The main role responsibilities include**:

- Define the Controls System Scope of Supply to be delivered during project execution
- Review the ITT technical specifications and raise Exceptions and Qualifications to the requirements as required to align with the tender strategy
- To develop Request for Quotation packages for both internal engineering departments and external vendors and manage vendor clarifications
- Liaise with other Engineering functions to ensure scope alignment between the various equipment packages
- Compile the tender proposal
- Provide technical support during the post bid clarification process

**Qualifications**:

- HNC, Master's degree or Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical) or associate diploma from an accredited university
- Preferable 7 years' experience in a Controls Lead Engineering or Tender Engineering role
- Leadership-skills & Lead-by-example mindset
- Self-motivated, takes ownership on actions, schedule milestones etc. and uses own initiative to make technical decisions on their own
- Problem solving, analytical skills and strong critical thinking, Strong communication skills and technical writing skills
