**QHSE Officer**

**Derby**

**Remote position**

A British Logistics and Engineering provider are looking for a new QHSE Officer to join the team on a permanent basis. You will be working on a diverse portfolio of exciting and often high profile projects, providing wide ranging support and assistance.

**What you will be doing**
- You will be responsible for the Health and Safety and Environmental aspects affecting self, employees, and projects in your control.
- Facilitate and support the investigation of all accidents, near misses, illnesses, and emergency responses, and ensure that corrective, preventive actions, and controls are implemented, reporting out externally as required
- Ensure that risk assessments, inspections and audits are fully compliant with current legislation and business requirements, reporting this information to the business with any necessary resolutions or improvements
- Be actively engaged in site activities, always leading by example and approachable to all members of staff seeking QHSE advice and assistance.
- Outline safe operational procedures which identify and consider all relevant hazards

**What you will need**
- You will need to have a minimum of 2 years experience in a HSE position
- Your HSE experience must have been gained in either the Heavy Lift, Civil Engineering or similar industry
- NEBOSH Certificate is required as a minimum qualification
- This is a remote role so you must hold a full UK driving license and be happy to travel UK wide
