Having been in the industry for nearly twenty years our client is an old hand at providing woven soft separates, standalone tailoring, and jersey wear to a number of UK based high street retailers. They produce mainly in Europe and are looking for Womenswear designer to join the team initially of a 12-month contract

The role itself will see you researching, developing, and designing across multi-products, including identifying key shapes for the season and being involved in sourcing
fabrications and trimmings as well as tracking sample development within timescales and the critical path and working with the technical teams of fits and problem solving.
You will be working closely with retail buying teams collaborating and letting them know the new styles you are coming up with along with the account managers and sales managers

**MUST HAVES TO BE SHORTLISTED**

The designer must have recent experience of designing women’s multi product for high street retailers with a focus on woven’ s ( it’s not a brand so will always focus on high street designers ) and the experience must be well versed, it’s not an entry level opportunity. The client need somebody to hit the ground running and is very high street trend aware
A understanding of fabric and have an extremely commercial high street handwriting and able to work with buyers directly and able to present when needed.
Excellent communications skills (written and verbal ) and a great team player who is collaborative
Solid Abode skills (photoshop and illustrator)
