**Transport Coordinator - Supply Chain & Logistics - Whitchurch - £25,000 pa**

**About the company**

Our client is a well-established, leading distributor in temperature-controlled logistics. An opportunity for a Transport Coordinator to join them on a 12 month, fixed term contract is available.

**Transport Coordinator - The Rewards**
- Salary £25,000 pa (12 month FTC)
- 4 on/4 off - 42 hrs per week
- 7am - 7pm
- Opportunities to progress

**Transport Coordinator - Requirements**
- Excellent geographical knowledge
- Excellent communication skills
- Capable of working in a high pressured, fast paced environment
- Computer skills, previous use of planning and tracking systems
- Excellent knowledge of Drivers’ Hours and Tachograph regulations and WTD
- Confident and assertive, with negotiation skills

**Transport Coordinator - Responsibilities**
- Main point of contact for drivers, responsible for work instructions, re-load details and operational issues
- Solving issues encountered in a timely manner
- Focus on minimizing driver downtime
- Ensuring delivery scheduled are adhered to in the most cost-effective way with an emphasis on customer satisfaction
- Route planning decisions are made in line with Drivers’ Hours and Tachograph regulations and WTD
- Communicate effectively with support team and highlight any delays to customer deliveries
- Update systems and databases with vehicle locations and ETAs
- Analyse KPIs and implement corrective action
- Identify areas for continuous improvement

**About Us**

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: £25,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Whitchurch: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Transport Planning: 1 year (preferred)
- Drivers Hours' Rules: 1 year (preferred)
