The Assistant Executive Housekeeper assists the Executive Housekeeper in managing all aspects of the department. The Assistant Executive Housekeeper is fully responsible for managing the department in absence of the Executive Housekeeper.
To provide leadership to the housekeeping supervisors, coordinators, room attendants and housekeeping porters, manage and insure the highest level of cleanliness of the hotel rooms and public space to the guests.
Encourage initiative-taking and effective interdepartmental communication to foster a climate of teamwork and enthusiasm.
Motivate, train, supervise, evaluate, and discipline all Housekeeping Team Members to achieve the highest quality standards.
Plan daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly assignments and projects for all Room Attendants, Porter, Public Area, and Valet Attendants and Office Coordinators together with the Executive Housekeeper.
We believe in flexibility and multi-skilling, and you may be asked to do different tasks from time to time to enable us to meet the needs of our guests and talent.
You will work with brilliant talent across the hotel so that we are one team delivering a seamless and memorable guest experience.
**What do we need from you?**
- Minimum 3 years of housekeeping management experience in a luxury hotel environment.
- Strong management, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Prior experience managing diverse teams.
- Prominent levels of diligence and resilience.
- Capable of demonstrating outstanding leadership, coaching and motivational skills.
- Has the ability to demonstrate personal ownership of tasks and will ensure completion to achieve the required results.
- Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Fluent English language skills and presentation ability.
- Minimum education of a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Physically fit
- Frequently reaching, standing, lifting, and walking
- Frequent use of stairs daily
- Moving furniture, frequent walking, standing, bending and stair climbing are also regular requirements of the job
- Flexible schedules and working hours
- Ability and willingness to work on holidays and weekends
