Associate Lecturer in Italian Language

Do you have a passion for Italian language and teaching? Birkbeck, University of London, has an excellent opportunity for an Associate Lecturer to teach this coming academic year.
The School of Creative Arts, Culture and Communication is looking to recruit a part-time, Associate Lecturer to deliver lectures, seminars, and associated assessment supervision.
As Associate Lecturer you will teach the module:
- Italian 5
- 24 weeks in total 2025-2026
- Teaching Thursdays 6-8.30pm, 60 hours altogether.
You will have knowledge of Italian language and experience of teaching Italian language at stage 5 and be qualified to the corresponding level of the award as required to teach (or demonstrate equivalent professional/industry level experience). Please refer to the person specification for further selection criteria.
**Remuneration**
Payment is based on an hourly rate depending on length of continuous service with the College (starting rate £69.68 per hour inclusive of pro-rata London Allowance and holiday pay) for contact hours worked. This hourly rate is based on the starting point of Grade 7 and is inclusive of a ‘Duties Related to Teaching Multiplier’ at 2.5 which covers preparation, teaching, administration, assessment marking and other examining duties in connection with the course.
**Contract**:
