**Head of Finance (Senior Finance Business Partner)**
- Exciting senior role within a Faculty/Directorate of globally recognised Russell Group University
- Business partner for significant School(s) within Faculty/Directorate providing operational and strategic support on all financial matters
- Responsible for managing the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes alongside analysis of performance to assist budget holders

**The Successful Applicant**
- A proven ability to lead, manage, develop and motivate a professional team
- Significant relevant experience in a senior financial leadership role in a large, complex, devolved organisation
- Significant experience of working in an accounts preparation role with strong analytical skills and delivering an exceptional customer service to stakeholders
- Experience of supporting senior leaders in strategic planning
- Experience of preparing and evaluating business appraisals
- Experience of successfully managing change in a large organisation
- Excellent financial analysis and interpretive skills, with ability to grasp the detail, whilst retaining the 'big picture'
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and influence senior colleagues (both academic and PS) at all levels, including those without financial expertise
- Proven ability to challenge the status quo, make positive, effective changes and obtain results against a background of a challenging change programme
- A demonstrable commitment to the mission and values of The University of Manchester and an understanding of the transformational impact of education.
