**About the team**
- ‘_Our national payroll team support our clients to better run their payroll functions and to ensure they are compliant with UK payroll and pension legislation. Our successful team of more than 70 professionals is growing across all areas and therefore requires more team members.

**About the role**

Due to continued growth in our National Payroll Client Service team, we are now looking to add another Associate Director to our senior leadership team. In your role within the Payroll Client Service team, you'll provide a first-class payroll service, by undertaking management duties and responsibilities across the team. You will be part of the National Payroll Management team, working closely with the Head of UK Employer Services and Operations Manager.

You will have three primary areas of focus:

- To ensure client satisfaction in the payroll team by ensuring that the quality and timeliness of our payroll delivery is first class.
- To ensure that new clients receive a high quality, relevant service that leaves them positive about their relationship with us
- To work collaboratively with the senior leadership team, marketing and other business units to create opportunities to win new work and build the external knowledge of the service

**Responsibilities**:

- Working alongside the other Associate Directors, lead the national payroll team and ensure all payroll deadlines are met, and that work is delivered in accordance with the Firm's process manual and set quality standards.
- Oversee client relationships, especially key clients, looking for opportunities to enhance our service and dealing promptly with any issues or escalations.
- Take responsibility for financial performance in the team, overseeing billing and cash collection, utilisation, portfolio sizes, job profitability and team capacity.
- Coach and develop the assistant managers and supervisors in the team in order to develop and inspire our talented group of future leaders.
- Carry out staff appraisals and ensure team aspirations are recognised by way of the career pathways, and through mentoring, supervising and training new and existing team members.
- To create new work opportunities, such as marketing, proposals and referrals

**What are we looking for?**
- Experience leading a team or teams in a payroll bureau environment
- Payroll qualified, preferably CIPP Level 5
- Actively leads at networking and marketing events and positively promotes the Firm and our payroll service on social media platforms
- Develops and maintains relationships with internal and client account contacts at all levels.
- Has excellent client communication skills and able to confidently handle client and team situations with strong written communication and presentation skills.
- Actively seeks to enhance expertise and knowledge through self-development.
