**Research Team Supervisor (6 month FTC)**

As a Research Team Supervisor, you will join our Technical Research team to oversee and line manage a team to ensure timely, efficient and accurate research is completed for AFH advisers, in this full-time, temporary role for 6 months (covering maternity leave), with hybrid working opportunities.

**Key Responsibilities as our Research Team Supervisor** **will include**:

- Line management of all members of the team
- Dealing with any staffing or workflow issues/requirements within the team, escalating to the Technical Research Manager where necessary
- Identify training needs for all team members, ensure any training requirements are met
- Identify any process issues/improvements and escalate for investigation
- Ensure that the team adheres to SLA’s
- Provide coaching and support to other team members
- Developing a thorough understanding of the firm’s Advice Guidance, as and when delivered
- Supporting staff with tax and other complex calculations
- Assessing the quality of completed research and providing feedback to staff
- Researching and reviewing, where necessary, new and existing legislation and technical/product information
- Communicating with IFAs coherently on a regular basis and providing case updates where required
- Maintaining and developing knowledge and technical understanding of all financial planning concepts, through personal management of own CPD
- Participating in firm research projects, adhering to set deadlines, as and if required

**What we are looking for in our ideal** **Research Team Supervisor**:

- Diploma in Financial Planning as a minimum qualification requirement
- Demonstration of knowledge, interest and experience in personal financial planning and in the construction of financial planning research and suitability reports
- Experience in an IFA environment, demonstrating quality communications of constructive feedback
- A high standard of written and communication skills
- An ability to demonstrate strong report-writing skills
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Aptitude in Microsoft Office

**Key Performance Measures**
- All individual and team functions conducted within set SLAs. Quality and quantity of output from the team will be assessed
- Good quality MI in relation to tasks conducted
- Adviser feedback about performance
- Feedback from Technical Research Manager
