Experience of working alongside students with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) would be a huge benefit.
As an SEMH/ SEN teaching assistant you will be joining a strong and supportive student support department.
You will be required to work closely supporting students and will need to have good rapport and an understanding of each individual's needs.
- **Experience of working as a teaching assistant (desired)**:

- **A current enhanced DBS (Or willing to process one £49)**:

- **SEND experience (Desired)**:

- **Ability to engage with and inspire young learners**

**About the school
**An SEN school that specialises in SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) based in Reading catering for up to 64 students with education, Health Care Plans.
The school aims to provide a safe environment in which all students are able to express their problems and learn appropriate strategies for dealing with them.
Their main focus is treating students as functioning members of the school and will work in partnership with parents/ carers in the education of the student.

**Role Summary**
Your role will be to provide support to students with additional needs, 1:1 tuition or to small groups of students with varying abilities, you will be encouraging and supporting individual pupils to reach their full potential whilst demonstrating a creativeand determined attitude that will help motivate students.
You will be directly supporting the students, as well as helping to organise the teaching and learning resources available to students and staff.
