Band 5 Business Support Officer -Pharmacy, Optometry and Dentistry

An exciting opportunity for a Business Support Officer has arisen within the Office of the West Midlands (OWM) Primary Care Commissioning Team. The OWM has been established to support the 6 Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) across the West Midlands to support the ICBs to deliver delegated responsibilities, including those for General Medical, Pharmacy, Optometry and Dental services.

The Office for the West Midlands (OWM), is hosted by Birmingham and Solihull ICB, as the employing body, but the team supports the following ICBs:
Black Country

Birmingham and Solihull

Coventry and Warwickshire

Herefordshire and Worcestershire

Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin

Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent

Utilising ‘Neighbourhood, Place and System’ the postholder will champion collaborative commissioning, focus upon developing and commissioning integrated services, that support patients to manage their own care, prevent ill-health and access services in the most appropriate setting.

This role will focus on providing administrative and project support to Quality reporting processes, Intermediate Minor Oral Surgery accreditation panels, ICB performance pack reporting, other projects and support for generic inbox management and the key aspects of the role include:
Provide high quality and timely business support services to assist with co-ordination of departmental business

work flexibly across sites and meeting venues to coordinate administrative and secretarial services; including for example, the preparation for meetings and of agendas and minutes, taking appropriate follow-up action as required.

Supporting staff with the management of projects, service, initiative and administrative support including information and analysis.

Undertake reporting and analysis of information to support delivery
