- Digesting information from Chatham House text reports, speeches and discussion panels about international affairs in order to showcase Chatham House expertise in video.
- Engaging with Chatham House analysts in advance and during interviews to ensure the production of compelling videos. This will involve finding creative ways to adapt text research material to a format that works in video.
- Taking the lead in producing a filming schedule, sharing it with Chatham House colleagues and keeping them updated as breaking news and scheduling conflicts necessitate changes.
- Being involved in creating and developing maps and graphics that are tailored to video.
- Ensuring all material aligns with Chatham House editorial and brand guidelines, copyright, and legal requirements.
- Shooting and editing original video content to support projects using budgets appropriately, both in the UK and potentially overseas.
- Being adaptable and creative in devising material for different video formats, including breaking news clips, interviews, vox pops, evergreen video explainers, curtain-raiser videos, highlights and summaries of Chatham House conferences and other keynote events in the calendar.
