To provide an effective, timely and commercially focused HR service to the Retail Operations teams, primarily business partnering with Area Managers and supporting Store Managers. Contracted hours: 37.5 hours per week THIS JOB IS A GOOD FIT FOR YOU IF YOU - Are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference. - Have previous experience in a similar role or want to step up from a HR Advisor role and expand knowledge and responsibilities. - Experience of having advised and coached Line Managers on a broad range of HR issues. WHAT YOU’LL NEED - CIPD qualified to a minimum Level 3 and keen to continue professional studies. - Full UK driving license is essential as some travel will be required. - Able to demonstrate a track record of delivery of outcomes which drive business performance. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with evidence of building great working relationships with line managers and employees through effective business partnering. Ability to write clear and concise communication - An understanding of HR information System such as Oracle or other data systems would be an advantage. - Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and juggle priorities. - Retail operating environment and full understanding of retail roles desirable. RESPONSIBILITIES - Act as People Partner to Area and Store Managers in a designated Region, whilst also supporting other Region(s) when required. - Working alongside the Regional General Manager and Sales and Operations Manager for the designated Region, to coach and develop the Area Managers to lead their teams in driving capability and talent. - Build the HR skills and capability of line management through facilitation, guidance, training and coaching where required on topics such as Disciplinary and Grievance, Absence, Performance Management. - Regularly attend Regional Operations meetings to understand key issues and challenges to ensure that the wider people team can be proactive and work in partnership. - Partner with the Talent Team to understand gaps so that vacancies are filled in a timely manner especially ahead of peak trading periods, utilising succession plans. - Champion employee engagement program and work closely with Area Managers to ensure action plans remain a key focus of the business. - Manage ER cases with Line Managers to minimise risk and ensure a commercial approach, including Disciplinary and Grievance Hearings, LTS and Flexible Working, to provide advice and guidance to ensure legal compliance and correct processes are followed - Guide and support Area Managers on performance management with a view to improving and driving performance. - Ensure adherence to COVID-19 legislation and guidelines with a focus on H&S and Company reporting compliance. Working together with the People Manager - Retail, ensure COVID-19 guidance is updated and communicated to the Operations Team.
