Teaching Personnel are currently searching for a passionate and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant, to work in a friendly and close knit SEN school located in the heart of Colchester.

Your Role

Some of the key fields you will be responsible for include (but are not limited to):

- Help to encourage and engage children within their classes and learning
- Create a positive and safe space for children to learn and develop
- Support teachers alongside other LSAs to help regulate the classroom behaviours
- Understand and assist in dealing with challenging behaviour

Your Experience

It is really important to us that you feel comfortable and confident in your role, so although you may not have everything desirable, there are some essential features our appointee will need to have and these include:

- Experience of working with children and young people and ideally within an SEN enviroment (personal experiences are also welcome)
- Basic ICT skills
- Have some knowledge of the autistic profile of need
- Have good organisational and time management skills
- An effective English communicator both written and verbal
- Able to work independently and as part of a team

Hours - 8.30am until 4.30pm - FULL TIME applicants only

Training: It is important to us to ensure you feel valued and supported in this exciting, rewarding and important role that you undertake therefore, relative training will be provided to the appointed applicant upon starting.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
