Autism Anglia is seeking Learning Support Assistants to join our Doucecroft School ( in Colchester, Essex. (Term Time only)

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will support the students alongside colleagues in the classroom and during break periods whilst undertaking directions from the Class Teacher, helping prepare for lessons, contributing towards and carrying out a scheme of work and Individual Student Plans.

You will assist the Class Teacher in planning and preparing for educational visits and school journeys and accompanying on such visits, as well as keeping up-to-date knowledge of each student’s stage of development regarding assessments, communication, ISPs and management programmes.

Maths and English GCSE Grade C or above and experience working with students with autism or learning disabilities in an educational setting are essential and the NVQ Level 3 Support Teaching and Learning qualification is highly advantageous.
