Protocol Education is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join a reputable primary school in Colchester. This exciting opportunity involves working on a 1:1 basis with a child with Special Educational Needs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work closely with a specific SEND child, providing individualized assistance to meet their educational and developmental needs.
- Collaborate with the class teacher and other professionals to create and implement effective strategies that support the child's learning and social integration.
- Modify materials and activities to accommodate the unique learning styles and abilities of the SEND child.
- Regularly assess and record the child's progress, providing feedback to the teaching team and parents or guardians.
- Implement positive behaviour management techniques to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Maintain open and clear communication with parents, teachers, and other relevant stakeholders regarding the child's progress and any concerns.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Previous experience working with children with SEND is diserable
- Relevant qualifications in education or childcare is diserable (e.g., CACHE Level 3, Teaching Assistant qualification).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
