BMI UK&I have a permanent opportunity for a Depot Team Leader to join the team.
Reporting to the Logistics & Warehousing Manager UK&I this role is based in Burlescombe, Devon.
**Role Summary**
Responsible for the overall running of the Depot, you will lead a team and be accountable for the safe and efficient loading, unloading, storage and monitoring of all stock stored on the site.
You will ensure that your team is providing our customers with the best possible service and ensure that product quality standards are maintained to the highest level.
You will be expected to work closely and collaboratively in order to achieve the overall performance targets.
**As the Team Leader, your key responsibilities will be**:
- Ensure the company’s service, quality, safety and environmental standards are upheld
- Proactively engage with colleagues across the business, particularly Production and PLW teams, to maximise storage capacity efficiently in line with production and forecasts
- Ensuring Quality Control processes are robustly implemented to ensure all stock is received, stored, and delivered in optimum condition
- System accuracy to always ensure high levels of inventory accuracy across the warehouse and outside storage
- Responsible for the operating procedures and ensuring full compliance
- Planning and deployment of labour resources to meet the volume of despatch, picking and goods-in requirement
- Raising purchase requisitions
- Ensure that all outgoing and incoming stock
- is checked for quality and quantity
- Responsible for the stock handover process
- Ensure that perpetual stock inventories are carried out and that the stock records accurate
- Carry out the quality and environmental checks which ensures that the site complies with all the relevant BSI and internal audit requirements
- Ensure mobile plant maintenance checks are carried out thoroughly and records maintained
**As the Team Leader, your key skills and experience will include**:
- Experience with SAP
- Experience working in a warehouse environment at management level across an inbound and outbound multi-shift site
- Have good time management skills with the ability to set priorities, fulfil critical tasks in time and keep to deadlines
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in fast paced environments
