**Description**
B&CE have an exciting opportunity to join our growing team as an Events Assistant to
provide support and assistance to the Events team to plan and deliver a programme of high impact, cost effective events to support the Marketing strategy and the business’s objectives.

Main Purpose:
Provide support and assistance to the Events team to plan and deliver a programme of high impact, cost effective events to support the Marketing strategy and the business’s objectives. Contribute to a marketing centre of excellence with a strong understanding of and focus on digital culture and capability.

Assists the Events team in providing excellence in marketing communications by providing specialist event services within the Marketing Department and around the organisation in line with brand guidelines, technical requirements, team processes, internal policies, agreed standards, legislation and regulation. Helps to create, manage and evaluate quality, compelling, compliant and creative events across all channels, products and customer groups.

An advocate of the importance of events in successful marketing, the Events Assistant works with colleagues to meet customer needs and contribute to the growth and development of the organisation.

Skills & Experience:
Essential
- Experience of planning and executing external events
- Understanding of events for offline and digital channels
- Knowledge of current best practice in events marketing
- Experience of internal stakeholder engagement
- Experience of managing relationships with external agencies and suppliers
- Experience of working independently and as part of a team
- Experience of maintaining accurate and up to date logs and records
- Understanding of brand compliance
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Ability to work in a project environment
- A passion for brand and house style
- Ability to understand complex and technical issues and communicate them simply
- Collaborative working style
- Ability to work with databases and use CRM
- Attention to detail
Desirable
- Experience of working in an events environment
- Experience of working for a marketing function
- Events training and/or qualifications
- Experience of events marketing for UK financial services
- Experience of working in a regulated environment
- Familiarity with the organisation’s products and markets
- Passion for the brand
