Responsibilities:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks.
- Process accounts payable transactions, including reviewing invoices, coding expenses, and issuing payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Print and organise purchase invoices.
- Enter receipts on to Xero.
- Manage accounts mailbox.
- Answer incoming phone calls.
- Chase overdue sales invoices.
- Upload and reconcile purchase invoices on to Xero.
- Create Sales Invoices.
- Upload Booth Book bookings to Xero.
- Bank reconciliation.
- Submit quarterly VAT Returns to HMRC via Xero.
- Payroll - Login in to online portal and print out payslips, pension documentation for the month. Distribute payslips to staff and file documents.

**Experience**:

- Experience and understanding of the VAT process and VAT Returns.
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in using accounting software such as Xero.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and procedures.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
