Children's Residential Support Worker

**Schedule Two** are recruiting for caring, dedicated individuals to join our team supporting children in residential homes in the West Midlands. This is a rewarding role for someone who wants to make a positive difference in the lives of young people in a stable, nurturing environment.
As an agency Residential Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to work across different settings and locations - giving you variety in your role and flexibility in your schedule. This role can be fulfilled alongside other full-time, permanent or part-time jobs you may have.
**Duties**
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people
- Provide physical, emotional, behavioural and cultural support to children in residential care
- Contribute to each young person’s normal development through a healthy lifestyle, varied activities, and consistent caring adult role modelling
- Support daily routines: e.g. cooking, cleaning, shopping, activity planning
- Maintain accurate records and complete necessary administrative duties as directed by the Registered Manager/Deputy or senior support staff
- Work across different homes/settings as required by the agency
**Experience**
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is preferred. If not yet qualified, we can enrol you to work towards this within a set timeframe
- Previous experience working with children and/or young people in a residential, care or support setting is desirable
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with young people
- Flexibility, reliability, resilience and a commitment to promoting high standards of care
**Training Provided**
- Comprehensive mandatory training including Safeguarding and Whistleblowing
- Physical Intervention training (PRICE)
- Level 3 and Level 5 enrolment opportunity, even as an agency worker

Pay: £13.00-£14.50 per hour

A) If you arrived to the UK BEFORE the age of criminal responsibility in your country of birth, an international police clearance certificate is NOT required.
B) If you arrived to the UK AFTER the age of criminal responsibility in your country of birth, an international police clearance certificate IS required.
International police clearance certificates are different from a United Kingdom DBS Certificate.
This is a mandatory requirement in our Safer Recruitment Policy and you are required to obtain an international police check yourself - please confirm your understanding of this
