Are you a confident speaker with a passion for making a difference? Candlelighters is looking for Public Speakers and Community Ambassadors to help raise awareness and inspire others to support families affected by childhood cancer. You’ll represent Candlelighters at schools, corporate events, and community groups across Yorkshire, delivering impactful talks and sharing our mission.

Whether you're a seasoned public speaker or looking to develop your skills, this is a fantastic opportunity to engage your community, share powerful stories, and help spread awareness about the vital work we do.

**Hours**:Approximately one event a month. Talks to schools will typically take place during school hours, between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm.

**Key Activities**:

- Represent Candlelighters at events, schools, and community functions
- Deliver engaging, well-prepared presentations
- Interact with audiences and answer questions
- Promote ways for people to get involved with Candlelighters
- Research and arrange speaking opportunities in your local area

**We're looking for volunteers who**:

- Are confident and comfortable presenting to a wide range of audiences
- Are passionate about our cause and able to speak with sensitivity and enthusiasm
- Are organised, reliable, and approachable
- Prior public speaking experience is a plus, but not essential
- Ability to travel for events outside your area is desirable but not required
