This international law firm has over 20 global offices delivering a full range of legal services, especially those of a complex, high-profile and multi-jurisdictional nature. Their core sectors are aviation, insurance and reinsurance, international tradeand energy and shipping.

Their Surrey Finance Department is looking to hire an Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring all the Accounts Payable work is carried out by the team. Ensuring the team have been adequately trained and work is carried out to thehighest standards while also supporting any cover for any work as required or to assist in high volume of workload and more complex tasks.
- Supervising and coordinating all work coming through the southern Accounts Payable function and liaising with the Supervisor in the northern Accounts Payable function
- Coordinating the training of new staff and supporting current staff with any new procedure changes and job role changes
- Responsible for staff recruitment in the team
- Taking a proactive approach to where processes could be improved and supporting the Finance Operations Manager / Controller with any changes
- Ensuring process changes are clearly documented for future reference by the team and new joiners
- Assisting with the development and implementation of financial policies, ensuring that they remain current and relevant
- Report any employee concerns to the line manager
- Contributing to the development of a risk management process
- Taking responsibility for completing or assisting with other adhoc queries or projects from the finance leadership team as may occur from time to time
- The individual will need to have strong supervisory skills.
- Enthusiastic, flexible with the ability to manage Accounts Payable workload, prioritising and working to tight deadlines.
- The Ideal should have experience of working in a similar finance role, leading or managing a team.
- The individual must be self-motivated, highly organised, accurate, with strong attention to detail and be able to embed these qualities into the team.
- Experience in 3E or Chrome River would be beneficial, but also not essential.
- Prior experience in a law firm is preferred, but not essential.
