Due to continued growth and success, we are looking for an experienced professional to join our purchasing department

**Skills and Experience**
- Excellent Computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Good communication skills with a positive approach to problem solving
- Resourceful, well organised, highly dependable, efficient and detail orientated
- Ability to work both independently and within a team, manage time effectively and deliver on KPIs
- A good understanding of improvement techniques with proven achievement such as process mapping
- Proven negotiation experience and analysis skills.
- Highly numerate, commercially aware, strong analytical skills, able to problem solve
- Experience within the steel industry would be advantageous

**Areas of Responsibility**

Develop and actively manage strategic relationships with suppliers, ensuring business requirements are fully understood and met and that supplier performance is measured and regularly evaluated

Source new products/suppliers as appropriate to support the groups commercial offering, ensuring the necessary criteria are met in respect of production process and quality

Purchasing materials in line with company direct spend requirements and policies

Maintain strong relationships and positive communication within internal departments

Managing stock reconciliations, identifying discrepancies between our ERP systems and physical stock

Liaising with suppliers around queries relating to post-delivery discrepancies, and invoice queries
