**All About The Role**
To define and lead sales activity within the commercial team to maximise business profitability. Based at our Newry branch you will be responsible for the activities of up to 6 sales staff across the Newry & Maghaberry sites.
**Sales Team Leader Responsibilities**:

- Take active involvement in setting and monitoring of team and individual monthly sales targets.
- Maintain and deliver on a personal sales target.
- Build partnering relationships to understand customer needs and requirements.
- Close sales and achieve monthly targets as agreed with your line manager.
- Influence initiatives within the team to add value to existing business and expand the Ireland customer base.
- First point of contact for product and process knowledge within the commercial team.
- Lead by example, fostering positive customer and peer relationships.
- Inspire team to high levels of performance, clearly communicating the business’ long-term visions and strategies.
- Work with team members to identify potential areas of personal development and / or training needs.
- First point of contact for sales attendance and timekeeping.
- Guide team members towards providing industry best customer service.
- Assist Sales Manager with hiring and training of new team members.
- Understand and implement and Barrett core values: Safety, Integrity, Responsibility, Continuous Improvement, and Communication
**Sales Team Leader Requirements**:

- The position requires a skilled negotiator with experience in a commercial role
- The ability to work well under pressure with a good business acumen
- Motivational attitude towards both self and team.
- Clear communicator in written and verbal context.
- Organised - able to multi-task to ensure personal and team requirements are completed to standard.
- Leadership experience is particularly advantageous.
- Driving license/access to a vehicle to travel for work/across sites when necessary

- The hours for this role are Monday to Thursday 8.30 am to 5pm, Friday 8.30 am to 4pm.
