**About the Job**:
The Payroll Officer plays an important role within Changing Lives, responsible for the delivery of a complex monthly payroll for approximately 650 employees, using CINTRA, with accuracy and pace being crucial to success.
This is an agile working role partially home and office based, therefore you will require the confidence and ability to work effectively independently, and as a virtual team, under pressure to meet challenging deadlines

**Key Activities**:

- Accurate and timely input and processing of data in conjunction with monthly payroll, ensuring deadlines are met for starters, change of circumstances and leavers
- Compliance with statutory deadlines and company payroll procedures
- Professional, proactive, and engaging approach to queries and requests for information, whilst managing the Payroll inbox.
- Calculation of additional payments and deductions in line with overtime, timesheets, sickness absence, annual leave and pro-rata’d salaries inclusive of Self Service module
Timely resolution of errors and amendments raised from payroll queries including notification to the employee
- Processing and upload of Workplace Pension contributions to provider ensuring monthly contributions balance correctly
- Understanding of HMRC submissions and tax codes
- Compliance with all legal, GDPR and health and safety requirements.
- Ability to build internal relationships with stakeholders, developing meaningful relationships
- A solutions focused approach to dealing with complex queries, with the ability to independently seek resolutions
- Continually looking to assess, develop, evaluate and improve processes to ensure compliance, and effectiveness within the People team
- Provide cover for the Payroll Supervisor
- Support the Payroll Supervisor to achieve the success of her key activities.
