**Main Purpose**

This role will vary day to day and month to month and will allow you to interact with other departments within the Company as well as external clients. You will have direct first-hand involvement in the planning, maintaining and overseeing of our transport department.

**Key Tasks and Responsibilities**
- Assist the Transport Planner with daily planning of fleet
- Help to maintain the Company fleet by assisting the Fleet Manager
- Providing general support and assistance to the transport team
- Assist the Company’s in house training with on farm assessments, driver training and Samsara training.
- Undertake HGV training ready for HGV assessment
- Gain knowledge of how other operational departments function throughout the Company by spending a month working in each one
- Handling administrative tasks related to the role
- Undertake other reasonable duties as required by Senior Management.

**Personal Specification**
- Excellent communication skills.
- Organised with a high sense of responsibility
- Ability to build positive working relations with customers, suppliers and colleagues
- Willingness to learn and be proactive. A positive attitude is a must
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Be open minded and adaptable to change.
- Hold a clean, valid driving licence.

**Job Type**: Internship
Contract length: 12 months

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Clitheroe: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
