The Risk Officer is responsible for providing guidance and support to the bank’s senior management in the creation and development, implementation and backing of the bank’s operational risk framework.
**The main duties and responsibilities are**:
- Provide on-going support for the bank’s operational risk infrastructure and governance framework
- Identify, track and remediate business operations vulnerabilities across the bank. These include corporate threats but are not limited to compliance assurance solutions that also mitigate security, IT, business continuity and environmental threats and risksthat protect the corporate infrastructure
- Develop and help to implement, risk, vulnerability and risk remediation assurance and management programs
- Manage and collate data e.g. but not limited to: RERs, Key Risk Indicators, Loss and Risk Registers, Group Risk Reporting and booking losses
- End to end management of customer surveys as part of the bank’s Conduct Risk programme
- Maintaining the bank’s Access Controls process for bank's and other access controls e.g. access relationships with external banks, their operating platforms and other services such as cash delivery management provided through external third parties
- Attend the bank’s Operational and Technology Committee to include taking and write-up of the minutes of the meeting
- Provide co-ordination and support to all members of the Business Continuity Team and the bank’s employees
- Provide support to the Manager and or Head of Risk Control in the daily running of the Risk Control department
- General administration and clerical work
**Requirements**:
- 1-2 years of Risk management experience in the Banking sector.
- Good knowledge and experience across Credit Risk, Operational Risk, Market Risk and Enterprise risk.
- Demonstrate good knowledge of identifying risk and training various different departments.
