We are seeking a compassionate, proactive, and dedicated Safeguarding and Welfare Officer to join our committed team and help ensure the safety, well-being, and emotional support of every child in our care.

About the Role:
As our Safeguarding and Welfare Officer, you will play a crucial role in all aspects of safeguarding practices across the school. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, you will be a trusted point of contact for pupils, staff, and families, and will help to create a safe, supportive environment where every child feels valued and able to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

- Act as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead
- Maintain accurate, confidential safeguarding records
- Liaise with external agencies, including social care and health professionals
- Provide support and early intervention to children and families in need
- Promote a culture of safeguarding across the school
- Monitor attendance and work with families to ensure high levels of pupil engagement

What We’re Looking For:

- Experience working in a safeguarding or pastoral role, preferably within a school or education setting
- Excellent knowledge of child protection and safeguarding policies and procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and professionalism
- A calm, empathetic and supportive approach to working with children and families

This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro -rata basis.
