We’re excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated and experienced early years professional to join **Kids Ahoy** as the **Team Leader** of our new **indoor/outdoor forest nursery** ‘**Land Ahoy’**- the first of its kind in Dumfries and Galloway

As we continue to grow, we’re seeking a motivated and confident leader who thrives outdoors, is passionate about child-led learning, and has the skills to inspire a team. This is a rewarding and varied leadership role that’s perfect for a practitioner who’s ready to make a real impact.

**What You'll Do**:

- **Lead & Inspire**: Guide and support a dedicated team delivering rich, outdoor learning experiences to our 3-5-year-olds.
- **Deliver Excellence**: Champion high-quality education and care, using your understanding of ELC frameworks and outdoor pedagogy.
- **Drive Progress**: Take ownership of planning, observations, and assessments, ensuring each child’s journey is documented and celebrated.
- **Support Growth**: Mentor and motivate staff, support training and development, and lead reflective practice across the team.
- **Engage Families**: Build strong, professional relationships with parents and carers, offering regular updates on their child’s learning and development.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- **A strong leader** with experience managing or supporting early years teams.
- A **genuine passion** for outdoor learning, ideally with forest school or outdoor nursery experience.
- **Minimum 2 years’ experience** working with 3-5-year-olds in an ELC setting.
- Qualified to **SVQ Level 3 or HNC in Early Education and Childcare** (or equivalent).
- Level 4 in Leadership & Management (or willing to work towards it).
- A reflective, proactive attitude and commitment to continuous improvement.
- A UK driving licence is preferred but not essential.

**Working Hours & Flexibility**:

- Full-time /part-time hours available, Monday to Friday between 7:45am - 6:00pm.

**Starting salary: From £13/hour**
(Dependent on qualifications and experience)

Expected hours: 27 - 40 per week
